Discussion

A curvilinear enclosure ditch aligned north-west/south-east and forming the boundary of an enclosure to the north. Further ditches on a similar alignment lie to the north (012AC00033 and 012AC07211) and to the south (012AC00035) of 012AC00036 which form different phases of the same enclosure. The ditch appeared to continue north-west as 012AC00335, although the stratigraphic relationship was complex in this area due to the frequency of intercutting features. The lower fill 012AC00162 comprised large angular chalk blocks indicative of possible post-packing.

As with the other enclosure ditches in this area, relatively few objects and animal bones were found in the fills of these features.
